If you can reduce systemic inflammation, you may be able to prevent autoimmune disease, Type II Diabetes, possibly even heart disease and cancer.
Diet plays a significant role in the process of disease development.
The mission of Food Heals is to provide complementary/alternative and holistic information that can help prevent, manage and sometimes reverse disease progression.
The focus here is on anti-inflammatory foods, healing foods, nutrients and holistic management of disease and medical conditions.
When diet decreases systemic inflammation, prescription drugs formerly needed to combat disease symptoms are reduced; consequently, medication side effects that may adversely impact quality of life are also reduced.
Food Heals does not recommend avoiding traditional medical advice. Although, there may be situations when medical treatment is not required. If disease progression and or symptoms are well managed with food and supplements, one could choose to decline medical treatment.
However, doctors visits and clinical testing, are often needed to confirm improvement in the progress of a disease or it's symptoms.
A common sense approach to disease management would include the use of traditional medicine, complementary medicine and holistic principles.
I have had 30 plus years of experience living with and treating my own and others with auto immune disease, arthritis, type 2 diabetes, hormonal issues, depression, ADD, anxiety GERD, chronic respiratory infections, spastic colon and candida infections.
You can improve your health, quality of life and potentially the quantity of your years by being pro-active; making common sense lifestyle changes based on scientific research/studies
and personal experience.
